Adidas Basketball might be looking for a new Global General Manager, but it's surely poised to not skip a beat. Anthony Edwards, Damian Lillard, and its other signature athletes continue to hold things down on the modern front, whereas the late Kobe Bryant's Crazy 2 keeps delivering nostalgia decades after the Los Angeles Lakers jumped ship.

Over the past handful of years, the Three Stripes has dug into its archive to reissue some of Bryant's earliest signature sneakers. Models from the 1990s and early aughts even laid the groundwork for the Crazy IIInfinity, a lifestyle-focused design inspired by Adidas' hoops-obsessed past. Recently, the Crazy 2 (originally called The KOBE II) has emerged in yet another color scheme that harkens back to its inaugural run.

Previous styles have seen 'Grey Five/Core Black/Zero Metallic' come together across the peculiar, ahead-of-its-time design, and the next offering arrives in 'Cloud White' and 'Onix' tones. Reminiscent of pairs Bryant laced up throughout 2001, the unreleased Crazy 2 opts for a predominantly "colorless" finish across its leather upper, allowing for contrasting hits at the top of the tongue and inner lining to steal some spotlight. Underfoot, the retro sole unit takes on a grey 'Onix' that rounds out the style well.

Enjoy detailed images of the 'Onix' accented Crazy 2 ahead. Pairs are expected to land via Adidas.com before summer ends for $160.
