adidas is taking a leaf out of Pharrell’s book of ethos, by draping their marquee 4D silhouette with bold, oversized positive affirmations of attainment with this “I Want, I Can” adidas ZX 4000 4D — and it now arrives in black.
It follows on from the debut grey pair which hit stores earlier this month, and it arrives in almost identical fashion. Aside from the noted black uppers, the aforementioned affirmative embroidery hits arrive in the bold, vibrant Solar Red on the right foot’s “I Want,” with the left shoe’s “I Can” favoring an all-new Volt Green color, replacing the OG’s Bright Cyan. Volt also replaces the blue hue on the exposed heel stitching, tongue Trefoils, and insoles, with more color pops coming from the sneaker’s infamous Ash Green midsole, and a black rubber outsole that’s popped with hits of Solar Red and Blue. A translucent-black plastic wraps from beneath the heel overlay, around the vamp and back again for a touch of support for the sock-like upper, while black suede overlays at the lacestays, medial and lateral ankles, and lateral forefoot complete the design.
Pairs are set to arrive at select adidas stockists over the next few weeks for $350. A release on adidas’ official US website is still to be confirmed, so be sure to keep your eyes locked HOUSE OF HEAT
