adidas is taking a leaf out of Pharrell’s book of ethos, by draping their marquee 4D silhouette with bold, oversized positive affirmations of attainment. Aside from the aforementioned embroidery hits which arrive in bold, vibrant Solar Red and Bright Cyan, the rest of this “I Want, I Can” adidas ZX 4000 4D remains relatively calm — another trait held by the ever-cool Skateboard P. Sporting a two-piece grey woven upper, the majority arrives in light grey, while the toe’s stitched-on instep adds a darker, cooler shade of the hue. A translucent-black plastic wraps from beneath the heel overlay, around the vamp and back again for a touch of support for the sock-like upper, while white-bone suede overlays at the lacestays, medial and lateral ankles, and lateral forefoot complete the upper. Underfoot you’ll find the classic Ash Green 4D midsole, this time encased by a black rubber outsole which rocks pops of volt and teal.
Pairs are set to arrive at select adidas stockists like 43einhalbon — and this is US EST time we’re talking — at 6:00 PM EST on September 13th for $300. A release on adidas’ official US website is still to be confirmed, so be sure to keep your eyes locked on our dedicated adidas Release Dates Calendar for updates.
