Official Looks at the Beyoncé IVY PARK x adidas Ultra BOOST OG “Hi-Res Yellow”

Last year’s announcement that Queen Bey and her IVY PARK label would be joining adidas was arguably the biggest sneaker signing since Kanye West — adidas or otherwise. And with equal — if not more — influence on the world than Ye, Beyoncé’s debut IVY PARK collaboration with adidas was undoubtedly going to be big. And boy was it. Four footwear options and countless apparel pieces selling out in mere minutes confirmed that B’s signing was yet another big W for John Wexler and adidas. Now, after the success of her freshman Maroon/Solar Orange-themed collection, Beyoncé returns for Fall 2020 with a fresh color palette; Hi-Res Yellow. Now, after some first looks at the pack’s adidas Nite Jogger comes the official imagery for the collection’s marquee sneaker release, the Beyoncé IVY PARK x adidas Ultra BOOST OG “Hi-Res Yellow”

Unlike the aforementioned Nite Jogger, the Ultra BOOST has undergone some changes outside od a color swap. Here, the Beyoncé IVY PARK x adidas Ultra BOOST OG “Hi-Res Yellow” tweaks the pair’s Primeknit weave to include sweeping ribs from to-to-ankle, with the rear panel and tongue also receiving an upgrade to a plush, thick finish. Lace cages, which were plastic on her freshman effort, now arrive in a beveled and sueded finish. Heel clips remain plastic but do include a fresh pop of debossed suede that reads “IVY PARK” — a finish also seen on the adidas-branded tongues. Bey’s unique lacing system and rear pulls remain, while color blocking remains unchanged — only the colors used have been adjusted. Hi-Res Yellow engulfs the pair from toe-to-tail, as well as the laces, lacelocks, and BOOST midsoles, whilst a gum rubber outsole completes the design.

Pairs of the Beyoncé IVY PARK x adidas Ultra BOOST OG “Hi-Res Yellow” are expected to release alongside the aforementioned Nite Jogger, as well as three other options on the Forum Mid, Forum Low, and Supersleek 72. At this stage, a release is earmarked for October 30th, but we’re currently waiting on official confirmation from the brand.
