Black and White Besiege the Ultra BOOST 2019

Back and white is alllllright.

adidas’ ditching some of the traditional Ultra BOOST ethos for 2019’s new design is both good and (initially) bad for the series. With the previous four editions all taking on similar characteristics, the reworked silhouette could strike some disdain. But like all new things, it can take some getting used to. So what better way to introduce the new UB with two things BOOST fans know so well; Core Black and Core White.

This panda-styled pair’s new Primeknit 360 upper comes split into two distinct sections; black on the heel and low rise above the midsole, and white riding the throat and toebox. Woven grey detailing serves as an intermediary color between the two tones. The transparent heel clip and midfoot cage ties in nicely, with the shoe coming together on a classic white BOOST midsole/black rubber outsole combo.
