Adidas has a rich history of partnering with high-fashion designers, and its latest collaboration with Caroline Hu continues this tradition with exceptional flair.
Caroline Hu, a standout name in Chinese fashion and the inaugural winner of the prestigious BoF China Prize, brings her unique design philosophy to adidas in a collaboration titled "Reverie by Caroline Hu."
Hu, known for exploring human relationships through her fashion designs, infuses the adidas Originals collection with themes of romance, vulnerability, and expressive landscapes. This collaboration sees a transformative reinterpretation of the iconic Samba silhouette, marrying Adidas’s sporty edge with Hu’s delicate and artistic approach.
The Reverie by Caroline Hu Collection features a series of designs that push the boundaries of traditional sportswear. Each piece in the collection uses soft, delicate materials such as lace and textured silk, contrasting the usual athletic aesthetics associated with adidas. The collection boasts five unique designs, each enveloped in textured silk that adds a touch of luxury and sophistication.
The color palette includes Black, Pink, Off-White, Black White, and Blue, each maintaining the classic Samba profile but with Hu’s romantic and intricate modifications. The Black, Pink, and Off-White pairs emphasize subtlety and elegance, while the Black/White and Blue/White pairs are more avant-garde, completely draped in frilly, textured material that makes a bold statement in high fashion.
Each sneaker in the collection is finished with a dark gum rubber sole and iconic Three Stripes branding on the midfoot, blending Adidas's signature elements with Hu's innovative designs.
The Caroline Hu x adidas Samba Collection will be released on May 24, 2024, exclusively through Juice Store.
