adidas Presents Club América's 26/27 Home Jersey

adidas has just unveiled Club América's Home jersey for the 2026/27 football season. The Mexican side is set to debut the new kit on the first match of Liga MX's Apertura 2026 tournament, which will take place at the Estadio Azteca. The new skin for Mexico's most-decorated club bears resemblance to the 96/97 Home shirt, which was also designed and manufactured by the Three Stripes.

The new América Home jersey features an "Impact Yellow/Legend Ink" color scheme that's duller than what was found on the 25/26 kit—a monumental moment for both the Mexico City-based team and adidas as it marked another chapter in their shared history. Authentic versions of the design are equipped with the same CLIMACOOL+ technology that was worn by players throughout the 2026 World Cup™—including Club América representative Israel Reyes.

The German sportswear company's Badge of Sport and Club América's "CA" logos are centered on the torso, and sit above the crewneck collar. The latter features a "1916-2026" message that honors the football club's 110th anniversary. Main shirt sponsor branding appears dead center; additional sponsorships are seen on both sleeves, and the top and bottom of the shirt's back.

Red-colored center stripes on the shoulders break up the jersey's predominant "Impact Yellow/Legend Ink" finish.

Loyal, savvy "americanistas" are sure to point out the biggest similarity between their club's Apertura 2026/Clausura 2027 Home jersey and those from the late 1990s: the giant Club América crest engineered right into the shirt's fabric. This detail has been widely-lauded by diehard fans of the 16-time Liga MX champion and kit-enthusiasts alike. The circular emblem is more defined on Player-editions of the jersey. Overall, the design choice opts for a 3D style that delivers depth that shirts from the past didn't.

When combined with the "Grandes de Corazón" message on the back of the neckline, the large "CA" logo and rest of the "azulcrema" design, the new Liga MX jersey by adidas evokes images of past "Águilas" like Cuauhtémoc Blanco, Germán Villa, and Raúl Rodrigo Lara.
