The late Kobe Bryant was a longtime fan of "the beautiful game," having developed an appreciation for the sport during his time living in Italy. Throughout his adult life, he struck bonds with a number of football clubs, but arguably none as strong as his relationship with FC Barcelona.
During life, the Los Angeles Lakers legend released Nike-backed product inspired by the Spanish club, which has had the Swoosh as its kit manufacturer since 1998. Bryant also kept a Barça shirt on hand, being photographed in it on more than one occasion.

For its 2025-26 campaign, the La Liga club has honored Bryant with a collaborative Away kit, which sees elements from the "Black Mamba" alter ego across performance apparel. Come Fall 2026, it seems the partnership will continue to celebrate the five-time NBA champion's legacy.
According to Sneaker Market, the second-half of '26 will see the launch of at least two more three-way collaborations. A Kobe 3 Low and Dunk Protro will be produced between FC Barcelona and the Nike Kobe group. The expected color palette on product is a gold, black, and purple one, with the Nike Basketball silhouette reportedly opting for a golden base.
As of now, it isn't known whether or not apparel and accessories will accompany the footwear as has been the case with recent capsules. All items, however, should be available on Nike.com between the end of August and beginning of November.
