Jalen Brunson helped spark early excitement for the Nike Kobe 3 Low earlier this year when he stepped onto the court in a striking player-exclusive colorway dubbed the Nike Kobe 3 Low “Arancia.” At the time, the sighting offered fans one of the first modern glimpses of the low-cut iteration of the Kobe 3 — a silhouette widely expected to be next in line for Nike’s ongoing Protro revival.
Now, months removed from Brunson’s January debut, the once player-exclusive Nike Kobe 3 Low “Arancia” is reportedly set to make the jump to retail, with a release currently expected for December 2026.
The Nike Kobe 3 Low “Arancia” builds upon the performance-driven DNA of the original Kobe 3, translating the silhouette’s sleek design into a streamlined low-top format suited for today’s game. Brunson’s pair features a vivid orange finish across the upper, paired with contrasting Swoosh branding and subtle black accents throughout the build. The bold palette immediately drew comparisons to New York Knicks colors, making the look a natural fit for Brunson’s on-court rotation.

The Knicks guard has quietly become one of the most visible figures carrying Kobe Bryant’s performance legacy forward in the post-Mamba era. Throughout the season, Brunson has consistently showcased rare Kobe footwear, including previously unseen player exclusives like a personalized Nike Kobe 6 PE, further reinforcing Nike Basketball’s trust in him as a key on-court ambassador for the Kobe line.
With the Nike Kobe 3 Low “Arancia” now rumored to arrive at retail this December, Brunson’s January appearance may ultimately be remembered as the first public hint of the silhouette’s long-awaited comeback.
For more on the Kobe 3, the "Orca" colorway is expected to release soon, alongside the return of the Nike Kobe A.D. Protro “Ruthless Precision.”
