Montreal's Dime Brings Metal Studs to the Adidas Gazelle ADV

Over the past handful of years, Montreal's Dime has collaborated with a number of brands to bring its effortless cool to a number of skateboarding-ready shoes. Its latest linkup arrives in the form of an Adidas Gazelle ADV duo.

Back in May 2023, the two partnered on the Superstar ADV, a reworked-for-skate version of the iconic shell-toe. Dime's work on the Gazelle leaves something to be desired on the color palette front, but its "less-is-more" approach to the project still applies a compelling update to the Adidas Originals classic. Soft leather uppers take on 'Maroon' and 'Core Black' finishes across the duo, allowing for the slightest contrast to indulge in the spotlight. The durable rubber sole unit underfoot opts for tonal finishes that complement the top-halves well.

Traditional Gazelle ADV branding is replaced with Dime cursive text on the lateral mid-foot. Additionally, serrated 3-Stripes logos are abandoned in favor of metal studs laid out like Adidas' signature branding on the sidewalls. Patent leather takes on the Achilles' heel panel, which also features a nod to the Montreal-based skate collective. Co-branding on the insole rounds out each pair.
