adidas looks to enlist New York athletic designer Eric Emanuel to collaborate for the McDonald’s All-American Games for the second time in as many years.
Well-versed on the silhouette, Eric brings one of his most whimsical schemed yet to the silhouette — this one evidently informed by the humble McDonald’s takeaway paper bag. Not only is the pair matched in both hue and texture, but it also features similar dull-color prints of Eric and the Games’ logos. Furthermore, these motifs are arranged in a way that suggests the pair was actually cut from a bag, and arranged in random placements. Joining the marquee feature is a sea of sail sections, including tongues, laces, straps, liners, and midsoles, a bevy of red, blue, and gold branding hits, co-branded tongue tags, and gum rubber outsoles complete the design.
We don’t yet have a release date for the Eric Emanual x adidas Forum High “McDonald’s All-American”, but with the event to take place in Chicago this March, you would expect to see these release in and around then, likely alongside an accompanying apparel collection.
Until further news arrives, you can grab an official look at the pair here below, and make sure that you’re following HOUSE OF HEAT on Twitterfor further updates on the release.
