The Three Stripes' ongoing partnership with Epic Games' Fortnite has quickly produced some of the sneaker space's most playful styles of recent history. As the duo heads into summer, it's prepped more products sure to be enjoyed by diehard crankers and casuals alike.
Official product shots acquired by Elden Monitors have confirmed the impending drop of an Adidas Adilette Comfort Slide inspired by the game's Tomatohead. For the uninformed, the figure launched in April 2018 as part of the Pizza Pit set. Tomatohead, then, is an Epic Outfit that changes players' appearance to feature a mustache-donning vegetable head, as well as a pizza graphic of the chest.
As was the case in-game, it's possible other Pizza Pit-inspired ensembles will take over the Adidas Originals line before the year ends. The newly-surfaced slip-on features a "Cloud White/Bright Orange/Green" color scheme reminiscent of traditional pizza parlors. The single-piece footbed opts for a checkered pattern that also boasts thematic phrases in a contrasting tone. The forefoot strap features co-branding details and the Tomatohead figure carrying an Adidas shoe box. Slip-resistant traction underfoot rounds out the package in a rich citrus hue.
Firm Adidas.com release details haven't been disclosed by either party involved as of yet, but that's expected to change before summer ends. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the Tomatohead-inspired Adidas slides below.
