Though it’s been heavy on GR drops and collaborative colorways, the adidas Forum has been busy in the background readying itself for wild winter weather. It, like the just-revealed Ultra BOOST, will be receiving a new winter coat thanks to the team at GORE-TEX.

While their Ultra BOOST opts for lightweight materials to retain athletic performance, their Forum does the complete opposite by loading up on hardened, boot-like shells and thick-cut textiles. The former graces the majority of the shoe’s front half, with protected toes and solid mid panels working into ballistic mesh and suede in the back. There’s retooled straps and hardware at the tongue, which itself is retooled in a water-resistant finish, with added orange pulls and branding coming in to complete the design.

A release date for the GORE-TEX x adidas Forum Hi has not yet been set, but having already been released in Asia, you should expect to see these arrive Stateside soon.
