Ronnie Fieg's Kith imprint might've begun as a passion project, but it's turned into a full-fledged retail and creative empire over the last 14 years. Nowadays, the New York City-native occasionally looks back to some of his past work to reinterpret it for new audiences or based on perspective he's gained with age. For his latest project, Fieg is revisiting the Adidas Superstar "Black Tie Project" he worked on in 2008 while at David Z ahead of Kith's Fall/Winter 2025 showing.
Aptly-named the "Black Tie 2.0" collaboration, Kith's latest linkup with Adidas Originals ups the elevated ante established by its predecessor. The original project was rooted in the desire to have a "shell-toe" that could be worn with a black suit, and the sequel is no different. Made in Germany as some of the most important Adidas Predator football boots of recent memory, the next Kith Superstars feature "dress shoe quality leather, waxed laces, refined stitching on the toecap, and subtle [&Kin] branding on the leather footbeds and tongues," as shared by Fieg via Instagram.
The pair that'll see a limited launch soon features a classic black-and-white color scheme, although Fieg unveiled four other luxurious iterations of the 55-year-old silhouette.

Friends & Family of the Kith label will receive a special package including the impending footwear and double-breasted suit. All items are crafted from Italian 100% tropical wool. The package doubles as an invitation to Kith's first runway show in six years. INSTITUTION will showcase the brand's Fall/Winter '25 collection on Sunday, Aug. 17. More details will be shared via Kith's Instagram account soon.
