Lamine Yamal's full professional career has yet to pan out, but what's already certain is that the FC Barcelona footballer is one of the sport's most-promising talents. As such, Adidas has leveraged the 18-year-old's star power to launch select products—including its Fall/Winter 2025 street-ready Teamgeist and Megaride collections.
Rooted in early 2000s attitude and design elements, both franchises have taken on new lives outside of their original realms. Teamgeist, for example, began as a performance range for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, but it's become cultural capital for many enthusiasts nostalgic of the retro aesthetic. Adidas Megaride footwear has been out of the spotlight for longer, but it's inspired a healthy mix of reissues and new hybrid footwear over the last year. Its vis-tech look falls in line with several ongoing trends in the world of streetwear.

In anticipation of the '06 World Cup's 20th anniversary, several designs from the era have been reimagined ahead of the 2026 World Cup hosted across North America.
Y-3's F50 Beast Pack will see a mostly-faithful retro in the first-half of 2026, while pairs from the Adidas Predator line have drawn inspiration from the Teamgeist series. Real Madrid's 25/26 Away Jersey also looks to the past with its contrast piping, a detail that's present on the Lamine Yamal-co-signed Teamgeist apparel for the impending fall and winter seasons.
