Lionel Messi is getting ready for what will surely be his final FIFA World Cup™ tournament as a player. Ahead of the North American-held event, he and his Three Stripes family have gone down memory lane, revisiting the adidas F50 Tunit from the mid-2000s for an ode to Argentina.
The famed Tunit series saw the decorated superstar participate in his first World Cup™ back in '06. Although Messi wasn't a key component to that Argentine side, the tournament in Germany served as the beginning of his legendary run as a representative for his country on the game's biggest stage. As such, the limited edition Tunit sees a "Cloud White/Night Navy/Gold Metallic" color scheme inspired by Argentina's Home jersey. Furthermore, the numbers 10 and 19 are printed on the sides of each heel, nodding to the numbers he's worn for his country.
On the performance side of things, Messi's next F50 project sees modern tech and construction to meet the demands of today's game.
