Sustainability has long been in adidas’ plans, with models like the Superstar and Stan Smith now 100% recycled — a crazy concept in itself. Speaking of recycling, classic silhouettes, and crazy concepts, this two-pack of sustainable Forum Mids have just appeared as the latest Earth-friendly installments from the Three Stripes.
Both featuring uppers and tongues of recycled fibers, the duo is delivered in two distinct yet similar propositions. Firstly, a monochrome black and white release works atop a pilled black base, with cream leather overlays, zebra-print Three Stripes, thick-cut leather fly-offs, and extended rear pulls — all of which come capped with a bevy of black and sail accents. The only deviation from the monochrome palette is the pair’s tongue, which features a colorful collage of cross-hatch fibers. It’s this finish that engulfs the entire upper of the second pair, which again pairs it with sail leather overlays. The accenting color here is navy, with a hint of orange at the midsole stitching and ankle strap completing the design.
