DJ Clark Kent and Serato Honor Hip-Hop with adidas Forum Mid “For the DJs”
There are few bigger names in sneaker culture than DJ Clark Kent. With a catalog of collaborative design including some of the biggest names in the biz, the Brooklyn-born Kent has not only been a big player in collecting, but also creating. Now he returns to adidas in collaboration with Serato to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary on a special-edition Forum Mid that’s been three years in the works.
Dressed mostly in blacks, the pair quite obviously nods to the humble roots of disc jockeying through vinyl-like pressing at the liners, speaker-look collars, and premium croc leather heels that channel the flair of the early DJs. Serato’s own original Scratch Live logo and the current DJ Pro logo are featured on right and left shoes respectively, while co-branded tongue labels mark the momentous partnership between two legends in their respective fields.
The pair will not release on adidas CONFIRMED – or at all for that matter – as the pair will remain exclusive for those close to the project. You can, though, enjoy the official images of the shoes below.
