If you live in a major global city or are simply tapped into the social media profiles of women from these places, you likely noticed a specific type of footwear during last summer: jelly shoes. Lightweight and breathable, different styles of TPU-molded slip-ons took over countless wardrobes during the year's warmest months. Come 2027, adidas Originals wants to participate in the space with offerings like the Taekwondo Jelly.
An even more minimal counterpart to the Samba Jane Jelly, the adidas Taekwondo Jelly breathes new life into performance heritage. Already a hit among "fashion girlies," the jelly-fied update is looking to continue Originals' steak of being the go-to team for trendy women's footwear.
The newly-surfaced model maintains the original Taekwondo's low-profile and sleek design, but opts for a flow-molded TPU base layer instead of more robust materials. As such, the net-reminiscent upper delivers an ultra-breathable on-foot experience; a large entry area makes for easy slip-on action.
Profiles maintain 3-Stripes branding, while the outsole also keeps its traditional durable build.
An official adidas.com release date for the Taekwondo Jelly hasn't been confirmed as of writing, but that's expected to change as Spring 2027 inches closer.
