Vic Lloyd x adidas Forum Low “Chicago Works Harder” Honors the City’s Hardworking Spirit

As a child of Chicago, Fat Tiger Workshop co-founder Vic Lloyd knows the hard-working nature of the city and its residents. With such traits engrained in from an early age, it’s no surprise that the designer became a success himself, with it showing through on his work with FTW — and now more literally on his impending footwear collaboration with adidas. Channeling the spirit of the working-class Chicago, the Vic Lloyd x adidas Forum Low “Chicago Works Harder” honors classic workboots with wheat suede uppers, along with hi-vis orange accents that draw from site safety gear. Interchangeable midfoot straps arrive in equally bright neon hues — again a nod to site safety — while milk crate basketball hoops at the tongue remember Lloyd’s smoko breaks playing hoops in the Chicago alleyways.

Launched by Vic and activist Vic Mensa, along with Chicago Sky Guard Kahleah Copper, Railroad Engineer Chris Griffin, Nurse Practioner Jasmine Scott, Firefighter Vairrun Strickland, Executive Director of Save Money Save Lives Laundi Keepseagle, and Antoine Hall from Chicago Streets and Sanitation.

The Vic Lloyd x adidas Forum Low “Chicago Works Harder” will drop on July 3rd for $100 at iamviclloyd.com and in-store at Fat Tiger Workshop in limited quantities. A wider adidas.com release has not yet been set, but it is confirmed to be arriving soon.

As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
