Y-3 has officially unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025 collection with a campaign shot by legendary Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama. Known for his grainy, high-contrast images that define the aesthetics of postwar Japan, Moriyama’s work brings a bold new lens to Yohji Yamamoto’s latest creations for the adidas-backed label.
Shot in Tokyo, the visuals place models within a raw architectural skeleton where shadows and light intertwine — a backdrop that highlights both stillness and movement. The collection, first previewed in Paris earlier this year, introduces standout designs like apparel with malleable wired appendages, allowing wearers to twist and reshape the Three Stripes into abstract forms. The imagery showcases footwear highlights including the Y-3 GENDO TRAIL, Y-3 TOKYO, Y-3 STAN SMITH, and the Y-3 GSG9 BOOT.
The collaboration with Moriyama emphasizes the brand’s edge, presenting fashion less as polished spectacle and more as cultural expression. His raw, textural photography pushes Y-3’s narrative of blurring the lines between sportswear and style while celebrating transformation in form and function.
The campaign reflects a broader story of thresholds — of turning documentation into art and reshaping the boundary between movement and style. Just as Y-3 continues to redefine performance-driven fashion, Moriyama’s lens reframes the experience, capturing fleeting energy in a way that feels timeless.
The Y-3 Fall/Winter 2025 campaign officially launches on September 8, 2025, with the full collection arriving at adidas.com/Y-3 and select global stockists.
