Y-3 Brings Artistic Edge to Tennis with FW25 Performance Collection

Debuting on court at the final major tournament of the season in New York, Y-3 has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025 Tennis Collection — an 18-piece performance-driven range blending adidas innovation with Yohji Yamamoto’s distinctive design language.

Reimagining tennis style, the collection draws inspiration from Japanese Suibokuga ink techniques, creating fossilized amber-like patterns that wrap around precise, straight-cut silhouettes. Asymmetric details, bold graphic treatments, and clean tailoring reflect the seasonal theme while redefining the visual codes of the sport.

The collection’s performance credentials are anchored in adidas’ CLIMACOOL technology, offering advanced sweat-wicking and ventilation for distraction-free play. Functional design touches — including hidden front zippers for comfort, built-in ball storage in skirt linings, and integrated support bras — ensure the apparel performs as sharply as it looks.

Standout pieces include the women’s Y-3 WOW Dress and the men’s Y-3 Tennis FreeLift T-Shirt Pro, both featuring splashes of the ink-inspired print and a left-chest Y-3 logo. The footwear lineup reworks adidas Tennis staples, with the Defiant Speed 2, Avacourt 2, Adizero Ubersonic 5, Barricade 13, and Adizero Cybersonic 2 all receiving a Y-3 design overhaul.

Captured through the lens of Michael Hauptman, the campaign moves beyond traditional action shots to highlight the artistry in preparation, with adidas Tennis athletes Jessica Pegula, Iva Jovic, Sascha Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Jakub Menšík embodying the spirit of late-night training.

The Y-3 Fall/Winter 2025 Tennis Collection will be available as of August 15 at 4PM CET via adidas.com/Y-3.
