The Above the Clouds x ASICS GT-2160 Collaboration is Available Now

Above The Clouds and ASICS continue their collaborative success with a fresh take on the GT-2160, following their largely popular debut in late 2023 and a follow-up release earlier this year.

The Australian retailer has once again opted for a synthetic-heavy build, similar to their earlier hit, which now commands nearly double its retail price on the secondary market.

This latest effort features two straightforward colorways in black and white, a departure from their previous earthy-toned designs. The simplicity of the monochrome palette echoes a style often associated with high-profile collaborations like those from Comme des Garçons, emphasizing minimalism and subtle sophistication. The defining characteristic of these pairs is the synthetic overlay across the toe box and quarter, which not only adds a distinctive look but enhances the shoe's durability and adaptability to urban environments.

Despite the simplicity in color, the texture and material choice set these sneakers apart, aligning them with the trend towards refined and understated collaborative footwear.

These sneakers have already been released at ATC's online channel, and select global retailers like END offering a raffle that will close on August 29 at 10:00 a.m. ET.

A release on ASICS.com goes down on September 27.
