The Kith x Asics 'Marvel Super Villains' Collaboration Releases on August 9

Ronnie Fieg and Kith are once again partnering with Asics, this time to celebrate some of the most iconic Marvel supervillains. Following the success of the X-Men's 60th Anniversary collection, which featured a unique mystery box format and collectible PSA-graded trading cards, this year’s release promises to delve deeper into the Marvel Universe with a focus on its captivating antagonists.

The Kith x Marvel Supervillains x Asics collection brilliantly transforms classic Asics sneakers into wearable art inspired by Marvel’s most notorious villains. This innovative lineup includes the GT-2160, Gel-1130, and Gel-Kayano 14, each adorned with designs that echo the essence of legendary characters such as Magneto, Silver Surfer, Venom, Green Goblin, and Spider-Man.

Key highlights include the Gel-1130, which embodies Magneto’s iconic color palette and thematic elements, exuding a powerful and magnetic charm. The Gel-Kayano 14 pays homage to the Silver Surfer with a sleek, cosmic design that captures the character’s streamlined and otherworldly aesthetic. The GT-2160 is split between two renditions; one draws from Venom’s menacing, symbiote-inspired look with dark and intricate details, while the other features Spider-Man's vibrant red and blue, capturing the hero's dynamic appeal—even in a collection celebrating villains. Not to be overlooked, the Green Goblin’s menacing color scheme of green and purple decorates another GT-2160 model, infusing it with a sense of mischief and malevolence that’s true to the character's style.

As with last year’s collection, the Kith x Marvel Supervillains x Asics series is set to include collectible elements that enhance its appeal to both sneaker enthusiasts and Marvel fans alike. This carefully curated collection not only pays tribute to the characters but also pushes the boundaries of creative footwear design.
