Birkenstock's Puffer-Inspired Arizona CosNy Debuts in April

Cozy, laceless, slip-on footwear might be all the rage now, but no company has been doing it as right and as long as Birkenstock. The 251-year-old brand is set to follow up its luxurious Lunar New Year collection with a new take on one of its most iconic styles: the Arizona CosNy.

As reported by Highsnobiety, the refresh brings puffer jacket-inspired nylon and proportions to the Birkenstock Arizona. The popular sandal – which has been reworked by the likes of Rick Owens and BAPE – maintains its beloved two-strap and contoured footbed design intact. The dormer detail, however, abandons its traditional buckles in favor of a Velcro-assisted setup. Furthermore, the straps introduce a puffy fabric material into the mix, which promises a more comfortable sensation without sacrificing adjustable snugness.

Birkenstock has yet to confirm release details for the Arizona CosNy, but Highsnobiety shares that the reworked sandal will go on sale on Thursday, April 17. The debut collection offers pairs in five tonal takes perfect for spring: blue, burgundy, black, tan, and orange.
