Now here’s an SBB 3 we can all get around!
When I gave a directive to the Concept Lab crew to create an “SBB 3 that people wanna see”, I didn’t expect this. I suppose it’s my fault that I wasn’t clear enough, but it’s equally their fault for being a bunch of smart-asses. But really, why am I complaining? This Air Jordan 3 “Shattered Backboard” is it. No crinkled patent leather. No all-sail sole unit. Just nice, clean blocking, an ultra-fine suede upper and a theme you can’t go wrong with.
Well, actually you can. Jordan Brand missed a wide-open layup with the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard 3.0 — they tried to do too much, when all it needed was the same quality and materials of the first two, with a simple color block switch. Hel, even the Air Jordan 1 Low SBB is garnering more love than it’s incumbent High OG counterpart.
But, I’m sure will all be forgiven if we can get something as clean as this concept — or the actual SBB AJ1 we wanted.
