With all the orange-colored Jordans making headlines of late, including the upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Electro Orange” and Air Jordan 1 Low OG Shattered Backboardarrangements, to January’s Air Jordan 13 “Starfish”— we thought it was time to get back in the lab and do one of our own; Presenting our newest idea from the HOUSE OF HEAT Concept Lab, the Air Jordan 4 “Total Orange”
Personally, I’ve always had a thing for orange kicks; I still remember my pair of Free Runs I lived in when I worked as a personal trainer. I think the attraction — aside from the obvious shock factor — is that sneaker brands sparingly use the hue due to the market’s fondness for conservative colors. But I’m bewitched by the bold — so what better way to go over the top than an all-orange upper? I’ve again selected the Air Jordan 4 (I just can’t stay away from it — I’m a sucker) with an ultra-fine Nubuck construction. Heavy-handed black accents hit the Nike Air-branded heel, eyelets, and amp netting, as well as select segments of the sole unit. Bright white come in to cut through the surrounding colors in equally bold fashion, hitting the tongue tag, rear branding bevel, and midsole to complete the design.
Take a look at our imagined pair here below, and be sure to tell us on social media your thoughts on the concept — hopefully one day it (or something like it) will become a reality.
