South Korea's ADERERROR is back with another Converse collection. The third linkup between both institutions reimagines the iconic Chuck 70 Low and vintage-inspired Wave Trainer in the fashion label's signature design language and blue color scheme.
Prepped for a springtime launch, the project brings a "worn" makeover to the North American brand's heritage models. The low-top Chuck 70 falls in line with past interpretations from ADERERROR on the old school canvas silhouette, although the latest pair abandons the excessive distressing and graphics found on the Highs. And yet, the shoe is unmistakably a collaboration from the South Korean imprint, as it features a 'White/Blue' color palette; skid marks on the classic vulcanized rubber tooling; and a number of brand-specifics emblems and touches on the heel and insole.
By contrast, the 1990s-inspired Converse Wave Trainer opts for an in your face update. A vibrant blue animates the bulk of the sneaker, which arrives with an unconventional heel cover (which can be detached via lacing). Hairy, faux-aged suede appears around the forefoot, while mesh bases are visible at the toe box and profiles. Chevron logos deviate from ADERERROR's beloved hue in an off white finish that also lands on the inner lining, midsoles, and laces. A special lace dubrae further differentiates the shoes from inline offerings, while the old school runner-reminiscent gum bottoms inject a classic touch into the project. The aforementioned cover across the heel creates a moccasin-like product similar to some of Visvim's signature offerings.
Enjoy official photos of the capsule's Wave Trainer and Chuck 70 Low ahead. Pairs should arrive via Converse.com and ADERERROR's channels before March ends.
