Just when it looked like the Converse SHAI 001 was reaching the end of its run, two more colorways have unexpectedly surfaced.
The “Black/Green Beam” and “Ghosted/Daydream Yellow” editions of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s first signature sneaker have begun hitting shelves at overseas retailers, returning to the model’s original zip-covered construction. The former keeps things nearly all-black with a bright green hit across the tongue, while the latter opts for a pale blue-grey finish contrasted by yellow up top.

Their arrival comes as a bit of a surprise. The recently released SHAI 001 Lace Up collection was widely expected to close out Gilgeous-Alexander’s Converse signature run following his move to Nike Basketball. The Lace Up debuted in “Lime” and “Berry” on August 14, with a “Cheetah” colorway still scheduled for September 3. Those colorways were expected to be the final ones.
Instead, it appears Converse still has more from the SHAI 001 in the chamber. Though release details for these two newly surfaced colorways have yet to be announced in the U.S, we could see them release randomly at select shops so make sure to stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
