Good Grief!: Charlie Brown and Gang Celebrate 75th Anniversary with Crocs
Whether you read the original Peanuts comic strip or were introduced to its characters via a series of modern collaborations on watches, wallets, and more, it's hard not to love Charles M. Schulz's Charlie Brown and gang. Recently, Crocs has been unveiling products inspired by the Peanuts universe, coinciding with its 75th anniversary.
Following footwear dedicated to Snoopy and Woodstock's friendship, the ongoing partnership between the beloved cartoon franchise and Colorado-based experts in comfortable footwear has produced another Classic Clog dedicated to Schulz's creations. This time around, the duo revisits design details found on products from previous years. A light blue tone takes on the bulk of the clogs' upper, setting the stage for Brown, Snoopy, Lucy van Pelt, and others. The security strap around the heel draws inspiration from Brown's iconic yellow-and-black polo shirt. Its signature crocodile logo is replaced with "Good Grief!" text, nodding to the phrase frequently uttered by the comic's "lovable loser."
Elsewhere, the co-branded project keeps things simple. The slip-resistant tooling underfoot opts for a white finish that allows for the top-half's playful update to revel in the spotlight. Special Jibbitz™ Charms don't arrive with the clogs, but non-standard Crocs branding arrives in the form of ventilation perforations across the lateral forefoot.
