Prior to their work with New Balance, ASICS, and PUMA in 2022, Montreal’s JJJJound kicked things off last year with a limited-edition BAPESTAin a signature ultra-minimal schematic. 2023 seems to be starting in much the same way, with the two parties set to release a second installment of their collaboration, this time turning up the contrast with a striking what and black arrangement.
Much like last year’s effort, white leathers are used for the shoe’s base, with color-matched midsoles and nylon tongues then book-ended by bold blacks on the outsole and liner. Wedged in between are stark black STA overlays and JJJJound-branded heels, upper eyestays of chrome, and BAPE-branded tongues. The pair is completed by JJJJound-branded insoles and arrives housed in co-branded blue camo boxing.
