Air Jordan 11 "Gamma" Retro Releases Holiday 2025
After years of fans' pleas, the Air Jordan 11 "Gamma" will finally return during the Holiday 2025 season.
First seen in December 2013, the retro is widely considered a modern classic. Its "Black/Gamma Blue/Varsity Maize" color scheme deviates from those worn during Michael Jordan's professional NBA career (while on the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards), but it still takes advantage of the Air Jordan model's iconic design.
Famously inspired by MJ's desire to own a basketball shoe that could be worn with a tuxedo, the Jordan 11's build features a shiny patent leather mudguard and ballistic nylon base. The result is an eye-catching, supportive upper that works in-tandem with the robust sole unit underfoot to perform at the highest level. The "Gamma" retro favors a pitch-dark finish across the bulk of its construction, but branding on the tongue and hind-foot interrupt in eye-catching blue and yellow flair. The icy "Gamma Blue" tone animates Jumpman logos across the sneaker, giving way to the pair's nickname. The semi-translucent outsole underfoot tones things down a few shades, delivering a grayish-blue tint in the process.

As with the most recent batch of AJ11 offerings, the upcoming Jordans include the now-standard high-cut patent leather around the upper instead of the lower trim found on the original "Gamma" style from 2013. It's unlikely, however, that the reissue returns with the special pull-out box Jordan Brand used throughout the last decade, although elevated packaging could appear on all Air Jordan 11 retros to commemorate the silhouette's 30th anniversary.
Enjoy detailed shots of the "Gamma" pair ahead. The sneaker is scheduled to release via Nike.com/Jordan on Saturday, Dec. 13. Adult sizes are priced at $230, with pairs for Kids and Toddlers retailing between $190 and $60.
