Air Jordan 11 “Bred Velvet” Coming Holiday 2024

The Holiday 2024 season is gearing up to be an exciting time for fans of Michael Jordan's eleventh signature sneaker, with the first-ever Retro of the "Columbia" colorway on the horizon — and a brand new addition to Jordan Brand’s women’s exclusive winter series, the Air Jordan 11 "Bred Velvet."

Ppoised to continue the brand's recent "Reimagined" series, which has been creatively reinterpreting OG colorways - from the "Satin Bred" Air Jordan 1s to the leather-built Air Jordan 4 "Black Cement," the Air Jordan 11 “Bred Velvet” is a luxurious take on the classic black/red colorway, reimagined with a full velvet upper.

This sumptuous material replaces the traditional patent leather and ballistic nylon, offering a new textural experience while maintaining the iconic color scheme. Additionally, the outsole deviates from the usual with a solid rubber construction, differing from the conventional translucent bottoms.

This isn't the first time Jordan Brand has experimented with velvet on the Air Jordan 11. The material was featured in 2016's Air Jordan 11 “Heiress,” which dressed the model in a wine-red hue with golden accents, and again in 2022’s Air Jordan 11 “Midnight Navy.”

The Air Jordan 11 “Bred Velvet” is expected to drop during the final quarter of 2024, with a November release seeming likely; This timing follows Jordan Brand's pattern of preceding its key Jordan 11 release with an exclusive drop designed for women.
