The Air Jordan 1 Cargo is Available Now in White

Riding on the coattails of the Nike Utility range’s successes, the Air Jordan 1 is next to don the overzealous pull tabs, excessive embellishments and heavy-duty materials. This Utility-themed Air Jordan 1 — dubbed the “Cargo” — arrives with a plethora of additions to the 1985 icon, including heavy-duty nylon underlays, run from the mid-foot up to the throat, with perforated leather overlays and toe box. That leather continues in a dual-strap stemming from the heel wrap, which houses two of the upper lace stays. Cross-weaved nylon straps — which appear to be superfluous — engulf the medial and lateral Swoosh branding, as well as a clear window at the tongue, for the wearer to pop in any image/logo/saying/whatever they like. Capping off the design — like most of the utility range — is a three-ringed ribbon back pull tab, which also extends down the sneaker’s tongue.
