Recycling, repurposing, or rejigging classic colorways seems to be the modus operandi for Jordan Brand in 2023, with several reworks already in the works for the year; especially for the 35th anniversary Air Jordan 3. Though there is plenty on offer from Tinker’s first Air Jordan design, it’s not the only silhouette that will be honoring the anniversary, with the Air Jordan 1 pitching in two celebratory colorways for the event; the Air Jordan 1 High “Elephant” and this OG-inspired Air Jordan 1 High OG “True Blue”
Arriving in the now-famous “Mocha” blocking, the pair looks to pure white leathers for its upper, with lightly-sueded grey nubuck in the back, and the titular True Blue dressing the forefoot and Swoosh overlays. The Wings motifs, liners, and tongue tags also join in the blue party, with a simple white and grey sole unit sitting underfoot to complete the design.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG “True Blue” is expected to release in full-family sizing on January 14.
