Having briefly sighted the new Air Jordan 1 High Switch silhouette earlier this year, a lot of opinions have already been formed. The consensus? Cool idea, horrible execution. Perhaps the first-to-surface colorway didn’t help — it was a weird mix of earthy hues and mid blue — but this upcoming Air Jordan 1 High Switch “Purple Pulse” might sway some of the skeptics.
It arrives in more traditional blocking than the aforementioned, Chicago blocking in fact, with a black collar and Swoosh combo joined by a single-color upper and toe-to-tail overlays in a sole hue. The all-suede construction boasts uppers of light blue, overlays of the titular purple, and the aforementioned blacks, while a striking canary yellow zipper and rear pull add some extra attention to the already commanding colorway. Completing the design is an all-white sole unit, flat purple laces, and a forefoot mini Swoosh in aqua.
Though a release date for the Air Jordan 1 High Switch “Purple Pulse” is yet to be determined, one would suggest that the cut adaptability and the timing of this first look would indicate a release over the Spring.
