'Igloo' Branding Animates This Kids' Air Jordan 1 Low
Jordan Brand is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. To celebrate the occasion, the Nike, Inc. sub-label has planned special collections and activations inspired by Michael Jordan's legacy. Ahead of spring, the company has unveiled an Air Jordan 1 Low covered in what seems like a 'Coconut Milk/Igloo/White' color scheme.
Exclusively for Kids, the pair breathes new life into Peter Moore's 40-year-old design. The typical construction found on faithful pairs like the Air Jordan 1 '85 'Bred' is abandoned in favor of a lifestyle-focused build. Suede panels wrap around the forefoot and lower heel, matching their leather base's off-white finish. Panels right below the collar introduce a pebbled texture that's reminiscent of previous snakeskin-covered retros. Wings branding on the heel and swooshes on the profiles deviate from their surroundings in a cool 'Igloo'-like color (the hue has appeared across Nike, Inc. products before).
Enjoy detailed photos of the Big Kids' retro below. Team Jumpman hasn't disclosed official Nike.com release details for the pair, but expect the shoes to land before June for $90.
