Despite the historical disdain, the Air Jordan 1 Low has become one of the best-selling silhouettes in the Jordan Brand arsenal. The low-cut classic has picked up quite the following, thanks to its varying palettes and textures in conjunction with its affordability and availability. The latter may not apply to this red-hot release, with a SoFlo that ensures this drop will be a hot commodity. The aptly titled Air Jordan 1 Low “Tropical Twist” pairs classic South Beach hues of aqua-green, black, and white with pops of pastel peach that channel the Ocen Drive Art Deco district. Further linking the SoFlo theme is a gradient Swoosh which replicates an early morning sunrise over the Atlantic.
Construction-wise, you’ll find smooth leathers throughout, namely aqua uppers and black overlays, with nylon tongues, laces, and liners matching in black. The aforementioned Swoosh sits faded at both medial and lateral sides, while Wings branding in the rear is a bit more inconspicuous in tonal black. Underfoot you’ll find a crisp white midsole met with a titular Tropical Twist outsole, while further pops of the green-blue hue hit the tongue liner, and branding at the tongue and insole to complete the design.
Though a release date for the pair was not provided alongside the official imagery below, the colorway and timing of the images would suggest a release this Spring/Summer, so you should expect to see this land at select Swoosh stockists and likely on Nike.comin the coming months. Until then, enjoy a look at the Air Jordan 1 Low “Tropical Twist” here below, and as always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
