When it comes to Jordan Brand, nothing is ever coincidental. That’s the case again, it seems, when it comes to the famed Ugly Sweater print, which recently popped up again during the early episodes of “The Last Dance” last month. Of course, MJ’s audacious garb has been seen on many occasions, but the video imagery of a young GOAT draped in the print, walking into the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona ahead of the Dream Team’s historic 1992 Olympic Games has thrown the textile back into the spotlight. Now, just mere days later, first looks at an Air Jordan 1 Low “Sweater” have appeared. Coincidence? I think not.
Here, we see a white-based release paired with buttery tumbled black leather collars and Swooshes, with the colorful geometric graphic sprawled across the overlays. Tongues arrive in white, as do the midsoles, and the pair is complete with a black rubber outsole. Of course, this is not the first time the print has hit an Air Jordan, with the Air Jordan 7 the first to get its ugly on back in 2015.
A release date for the Air Jordan 1 Low “Sweater” has not yet been specified, but you can expect it to arrive for the Summer. Until more news arrives, grab a first look at the pair here below, along with a screengrab of the aforementioned Olympic moment.
