It looks like Low season will extend beyond the Air Jordan 11 this Spring/Summer, with even more low-rise Air Jordan 1s on the way — and it brings with it some striking comparisons to Jordan releases both new and old.
For those who have been around the game a little longer, you may have had to do a quick double-take, with its almost identical blocking to 2014’s Nylon-loaded Gym Red Low.For most of us, though, we’ll see it as a Low-cut version of the 23,000-pair limited Air Jordan 1 High OG ’85 “Varsity Red”from February of this year. You can see from the High-Low comparison shots below that the Low arrives with the same jet black leather upper, red leather overlays, and black nylon tongues — it also arrives on the same sole unit. Here, the collar is red, and is matched with a black liner, but — a very minute detail change — the mini heel overlay now arrives in black. The Low, of course, features both Jumpman branding and Wings motifs on the tongue and heel in red and black respectively, and the pair is complete with a set of flat black laces.
At this stage, we don’t yet have a release date for this Air Jordan 1 “Alternate Bred”, but we are expecting it to arrive for Spring/Summer 2020. As always, we’ll be sure to keep you updated with all the developments here on our official Twitter account. Until then, enjoy a first look at the pair here below.
