The Air Jordan 1 Mid "Black Metallic" is Available Now

Michael Jordan’s legacy continues to shine with the consistent in-line releases of the Air Jordan 1 Mid and Low models, designed to complement marquee releases from the retro line. A prime example of this strategy is the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid "Black Metallic," which is a matching release for the Reimagined OG Air Jordan 5 set to launch in February 2025.

Initially appearing in kids' sizing, the Air Jordan 1 Mid "Black Metallic" is also expected to be available in adult sizes. The sneaker features an all-black color scheme that mirrors the retro design it aims to honor. While it strays from the traditional nubuck finish, the pair’s sleek appearance—including black midsoles—pairs beautifully with icy-blue outsoles, silver tongues, and red tongue branding, creating a striking visual homage to the Air Jordan 5.

One of the standout features of this design is the reflective quarter-panel, Swoosh and collar, a nod to the signature 3M reflective tongue of the Air Jordan 5 and white lace options — both feature elements of the upcoming Reiagined Air Jordan 5.
