The Air Jordan 1 Mid "Cheeseburger" Doesn't Come with A Side of Fries
Jordan Brand is still focused on developing the best basketball sneakers possible, but it's also taken the last decade to explore its playful, creative side. Through this front, retros like a newly-surfaced Air Jordan 1 Mid "Cheeseburger" have been possible.
Officially clad in a "Flax/Sesame/Coconut Milk/University Gold" color scheme, the pair forms part of a larger food and dessert-inspired collection by His Airness' eponymous label. Akin to the Kids' Air Jordan 5 Low "PB&J" offering, the mid-top trim of the original Air Jordan features a medley of uncommon tones across its beloved design. Leather components across the upper opt for a bun-reminiscent brown that even recreates wrinkles at the quarter panels and ankle flaps. Lettuce green appears via corduroy material around the collar, while a ketchup-like red animates the fabric trim that lines most panels up-top.

Other clever touches to the cheeseburger-themed retro include irregular, sesame seed-shaped perforations on the toe box; melted cheese-like goo on the profile swooshes; and a fast food joint receipt printed on the insoles.
Underfoot, the playful makeover tone things down quite a bit. An off-white finish takes over the midsole, while its stitching and outsole bring some of the top-half's burger inspirations to the bottom-half. A mustard and cheese-reminiscent yellow joins a bread-referencing beige that round out the mouth-watering offering nicely.
