Jordan Brand continues to reimagine its original release in handfuls of refreshing makeovers. The latest Air Jordan 1 Mid, for example, arrives in a color scheme reminiscent of the Georgetown Hoyas' uniforms.
While not an official linkup with the Washington D.C. based university, the pair adds another tally in the long list of Nike, Inc. products evoking images of the storied institution. Other offerings from Michael Jordan's eponymous label, as well as products from Nike Sportswear, have featured similar 'White/Neutral Grey/Gum Medium Brown/Midnight Navy' color schemes.
The titular dark blue hue lands across the forefoot, along the tongue, and around the collar, working in-tandem with 'White' and 'Neutral Grey' to recreate one of the Jordan 1's signature color-blockings. Profile swooshes and Wings emblems on the lateral ankle flap also indulge in 'Midnight Navy.' Underfoot, the tried-and-proven tooling keeps things simple and on color-theme, tying the package together nicely.
