As is often the case for Jordan Brand, when a themed release comes along, there’s often more than one in the queue — especially when it’s an Air Jordan 1. That’s exactly the case for this Air Jordan 1 Mid “Hologram”, as it joins an accompanying Jordan 1 Low for release this summer.

Centralized around a simple white and black leather build, the pair’s titular feature rests at the mid panel, void of any intrusive Swoosh overlays. This gives a clear view of Mike in a black and red tracksuit. But a quick tilt of the shoe reveals something completely different — an illustrated version of MJ listening to a walkman — just as he did on the bus on Last Dance. Furthermore, it’s stylized in an early-90s theme, with TV shows like Martin and The Fresh Prince coming to mind. The pair is then completed by purple Jumpman branding at the tongue that ties back to the hologram Swoosh on the titular mid-panel.
