Iridescent Purple Keeps the Air Jordan 1 Mid "Phantom" Fresh
Despite not having debuted until after Michael Jordan's NBA rookie season, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has become one of the more popular versions of the Jumpman's original design. As the inaugural model celebrates its 40th anniversary, the mid-top offering keeps emerging in brand new styles.
Ahead of fall, the Air Jordan has emerged in a "Phantom"-heavy look. Akin to other seasonal makeovers opting for the off white tone, the newly-surfaced retro features the grayish-white color across the forefoot, along the tongue, and around the hind-foot. Panels in-between, however, deviate from the clean, versatile look in favor of an iridescent finish reminiscent of an Air Jordan 1 Low "Muslin/Royal Tint" seen earlier in the year.

Although the purple, color-shifting components don a Foamposite-like shimmer, they aren't constructed from the Nike Basketball-favored material. Nevertheless, their appearance on the AJ1 Mid creates a refreshing ensemble that pushes Peter Moore's design into the next 40 years.
Underfoot, the midsole keeps things simple in "White," while the radial traction indulges in a semi-translucent finish that further cements the sneaker as a lifestyle option.
Enjoy official photos of the "Phantom" Jordan 1 Mid ahead. Pairs should release via Nike.com/Jordan by November for $140.
