Last week’s revelation of the “Bred” once again reminded us that the Air Jordan 1 Mid is heavily reliant on slight tweaks of the High’s pre-established legacy. Although there are several new variations touching down week in, week out, it appears that the most popular releases a carried quite heavily by their resemblance to the original colorways, most of which feature slight tweaks to blocking or the introduction of new colors in addition to the one inch-lower cut. Here, another original honored with striking hot pink hits for a modernized upgrade on a sneaker dubbed the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Pink Shadow”
Like the aforementioned Bred AJ Mid, this too features an unchanged toe, mid-panel, and rear overlay set than its OG counterpart, and once again employes the latter’s hue across the eyelet overlay. Differing here is the inclusion of an arresting neon pink at the collar, Swoosh and tongue branding that is simply unexpected, yet works well with the monochrome tones at the toe. Underfoot you’ll find an unchanged sole unit, along with pink-branded black insoles to complete the design.
