The "Game Royal" Air Jordan 1 Mid TD Football Cleat Dropped on Nike

Michael Jordan's eponymous label under the Nike, Inc. umbrella still focuses on basketball, but it's expanded its scope of vision to include other sports over the years. Ahead of summer, an Air Jordan 1 Mid TD Cleat for American football has emerged with "Game Royal" accents.

Reminiscent of the iconic "Royal Blue" pair from the original Air Jordan's inaugural run, as well as Hiroshi Fujiwara's collaboration from 2014, the pair mostly follows tried-and-proven color-blocking. The back-half of the football cleat features a faithful recreation of the "Chicago" look, donning "Game Royal" flair at the ankle flaps and lower heel. Overlays along the tongue, at the quarter-section, and around the forefoot, however, deviate from heritage with a patent leather finish. The toe box indulges in the titular blue tone, matching the reworked spikes underfoot.
