After a long-winded lead-up dating back to mid last year, first looks at the second Air Jordan 3 “Animal Instinct” have finally arrived.
Much like the previously-released edition, the pair sports a myriad animal fabrication. That pair, however, focused on fur, while this pair goes all-out on leathers, including alligator, ostrich and more! Black uppers arrive in a croc-like skin, with further reptilian reaching the black mudguard overlay and Oregon green collar. Toecaps arrive in a python finish — similar to that seen on last year’s Air Jordan 11 Low — with a subtle hit of grey snakeskin also gracing the medial lacestay panel. Heel overlays arrive in a more realistic elephant skin than traditionally seen on the Air Jordan 3, and it all sits atop a sail sole unit. Color is introduced by-way-of the yellow heel tabs and upper eyelets and red lower lacestays, and the premium pair is capped off with a smooth, silky sock liner.
While we don’t yet have a release date for the pair, we do know. that it’s on the way for Spring — and you can expect a pricepoint to be on par with last year’s release, which is locked in at $225.
