Ahead of March Madness 2025, Jordan Brand has treated its sponsored collegiate basketball programs to an exclusive Air Jordan 4. Next up?: The Oklahoma University Sooners.
Joining the ranks of Mike's alma mater, as well as the Howard Bison and Florida Gators, OU's Sonners squad has received a premium Player-Exclusive (PE) style of the popular Air Jordan. Modeled after the 'First Class' retro fited to select WNBA players in 2024, the sneaker features a number of shimmering 'Metallic Gold' and diamond details throughout its update. Tinker Hatfield's original design from 1989 is also reworked with Oklahoma University's team colors.
Other nods to the Sooners program arrive in the form of the words Boomer and Sooner on the tongue's undersides (replacing typical Jordan branding) and OU insignias on the golden hangtag and lace dubraes. Quilted insoles round out the special pair gifted to players and coaching staff.
