First Looks at the Air Jordan 7 “China”
Greater China exclusives continue to arrive for the colossal-sized nation, with this all-new Air Jordan 7 “China” appearing early this morning.
The mysterious pair has popped out of nowhere, but it is very likely to be the previously-reported “Olive Flak” release, in part to its similarly-listed colors, and in part to it’s hefty $200 price tag. Official looks at the pair show that there’s more to it than just the listed white, black, and red colors, with split-blocking and epic detail across each and every panel. On the lateral side, the pair’s black nubuck upper sports a glazed-on tonal dragon motif, a pattern that continues onto the tumbled white leather overlays that rest atop. The lateral collar sports a red durabuck trim around a black nubuck eye, complete with metallic gold embroidered Jumpman. The medial side rocks traditional, colorful artwork on what appears to a bamboo weave, with eyelet and collar overlays arriving in an ultra-soft black leather. Special graphic tongues and heels show Chinese Kanji motifs — the rear as best we can translate reads “Night”, which would be fitting considering the apparent glow-in-the-dark sectioned sole unit. The rest of said unit arrives with red and gold detailing, black pods, and hints of golden-yellow underfoot.
At this stage, the release will likely be exclusive to Greater China and will arrive in unisex sizing. Pairs re earmarked for a September 12th release, retailing at $200. Be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further updates, including its official inspiration — but until then, enjoy a first look at the pair here below.
